Terms & Conditions

We ask for 2-3 weeks’ notice for all orders.

If placed on short notice, additional fee may apply. Payment will need to be paid in full by provided date.

Starting Order

When starting order, please have the date order is needed for, theme, colors, etc. Pictures of inspiration are accepted. Please understand that cakes, cookies, etc. will NOT be exactly like picture provided. Especially if A Sweet Taste is not the creator of the product and if changes are requested. Please understand that if order is placed by someone else, and it is not to your liking, it will need to be taken up with the person that placed the order. If you are placing order for someone else and the order is as requested and the other person is not happy, the person that places the order will be responsible.

Deposits

All Sales Are Final. No Exceptions. After we discuss the details of your event if you are interested in booking and would like to proceed, we would require a non-refundable 50% deposit to secure your date. If the deposit is not paid by the stated date, it will result in order cancellation and the date will be open for other customer orders. The remaining balance must be paid in full one week prior to your event. The balance and deposit are NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE, meaning you can NOT cancel one date and then change it for another. Any funds sent to A Sweet Taste are non-refundable once in A Sweet Taste hand. If refund is given, it will be at the discretion of A Sweet Taste. Any changes made after the invoice has been sent may result in an additional fee. Checks are not accepted.

Cancellations

The 50% retainer/deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable – this secures your order and is retained as a booking fee. All Sales Are Final. No Exceptions. If the cake is paid in full at the time of the cancellation and is not within 7 days of pickup, then 50% of the full payment can be issued as a store credit. If you need to postpone your order to another date, please call or email directly and as soon as possible. If the date is needing to be changed by the customer, the deposit is non-refundable. Deposits are for the original date only. 50% deposit will need to be paid for the new date if available. Wedding Orders, please see your contract for cancellation policy. If a cancellation is received less than one week prior to the promised delivery/pickup date, the full balance is still the client's responsibility. If for any reason (sickness, emergency, acts of God, etc.) we need to cancel your order, your deposit and or payment may be returned of 75% of your order at the discretion of A Sweet Taste.

Pick Up/Delivery

Deliveries are made upon request and will result in a delivery fee (if able to deliver). If delivery is requested last min (if able to deliver) there will be a fee of $50 plus the delivery fee that will need to be paid before delivery. Once the cake is out of A Sweet Taste hands, A Sweet Taste is no longer responsible for the order. If someone other than the person that placed the order is picking up the order, they will be held responsible, If you or your representative elects to pick up and set up the baked items, you assume all liability and responsibility for the condition of the items once they leave A Sweet Taste possession.

If you opt for delivery, we are not responsible for any damage to the cake or baked items after drop off is complete. You are responsible for providing an appropriate and secure table and environment for the baked items. Cakes are heavy and require a sturdy table and should be placed in a cool room temperature environment. We do not do event set-ups.

Cake Pickup Tips for Transportation

• Make sure that the temperature in your vehicle is as COLD as it CAN BE.

• Drive with precaution; Avoid Pot-Holes, Sharp Turns, Crazy Drivers and Slamming on your brakes.

• To transport larger cakes, bring an SUV or larger sedan when picking up your cake.

• Do not set your cake in the seat or a trunk.

• Many cakes that are smaller than 12″ in diameter can be fit into the front seat-passenger side-floorboard, anything larger should be on a leveled surface and air-conditioned spot.

• If possible, bring someone along to help you transport and/or carry the cake.

• Never drive like you’re in a Nascar race when carrying cakes, especially tiered cakes. Take it slow around corners, if needed, turn your hazards on.

• Please ensure that the pickup of your cake is the last of your trips before arriving to your final destination.

• Please do not leave your cake in the car while you shop, ESPECIALLY in warm/hot weather.

• Keep cakes in a cool location if not able to refrigerate (especially in the Texas heat!!!). REMEMBER: YOU PAID GOOD, HARD, EARNED MONEY FOR A BEAUTIFUL CAKE ETC., DON’T RUIN IT!

Our products may contain or come into contact with milk, wheat, nuts, soy, and other allergens. You agree to notify your guests of this risk and hold us harmless for allergic reactions.

By paying the non-refundable booking fee and or payment in full, you have agreed to the terms & conditions listed.
